《肉与火》、《烤肉交响曲》向我们展示了世界各地的文化如何共享日常仪式，以此来庆祝社区、友谊和传统。电影讲13种语言，从德克萨斯到叙利亚边境，从shisanyama”到“立春”，烧烤是一部关于生活中给人们带来的简单的真理，以及如何烧烤是一个通往救赎。
